The Night of Old Orebić is a unique, costume, musical, and culinary event of a charitable nature that takes you back in time. This manifestation honors all sailors and captains, and through the reenactment of the arrival of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary in Orebić in 1875, you will experience the moments when this region was at the height of its maritime power. The Emperor, accompanied by his entourage, visited Orebić to mark the opening of a new shipyard. These were the times when Orebić, along with the neighboring villages of Viganj and Kućište, was one of the most important maritime centers of the Mediterranean.
