21st Silvija Hercigonja Days at Trešnja 2026 – A Night Dedicated to Young Ballet Stars

During the last weekend of May, Zagreb’s Trešnja City Theatre once again becomes the meeting point for young dancers and ballet lovers from all over Croatia.

The traditional cultural event 21st Silvija Hercigonja Days brings an unforgettable evening filled with elegance, emotion, creativity and the beauty of movement.

The Silvija Hercigonja Ballet Evening 2026, dedicated to classical ballet since last year, will take place on:

The stage will welcome dancers of all ages – from ballet school students and dance studio performers to young recreational dancers training in classical and contemporary dance.

A prestigious Croatian ballet and dance event with a 21-year tradition

The event is named after renowned Croatian ballerina, choreographer and dance pedagogue Silvija Hercigonja, whose work at Trešnja Theatre inspired generations of young dancers.

For more than two decades, Silvija Hercigonja Days has been one of Croatia’s most important youth ballet and dance festivals. Many talented dancers made their very first stage appearances at Trešnja Theatre, including celebrated Croatian prima ballerina Almira Osmanović.
