DUBROVNIK established the first quarantine zone in Europe, during the time of the plague.

The REPUBLIC of DUBROVNIK had once the biggest trade-ship fleet in Europe.

The election period was very democratic but short, to avoid that politicians become corrupt.

The REPUBLIC of DUBROVNIK existed over more than 1000 years. 

Till their affiliate to Croatia, through Napoleon, the REPUBLIC of DUBROVNIK was never involved in a war, and it was never conquered.

They got more than 80 ambassies through Europe.

Amazing !  And long time before Hollywood discovered Dubrovnik, a law was in action that sad, every visitor, trader and newcomer need to maison a big block of Liam-Stone as tax for entry. That stones was used to build the massive defence-wall around the City.

So, in general, we like to discover these great history. Our Minibus will transfer you directly to this.

You will have 4 hours free time to discover the City by yourself. With support by our own Citymap, which we will give to you, it would be very easy to find the best spots. No pressure, do what you are interested in. 

On the half way back, we will stop for you in "STON", a small place at the beginning of the Peninsula. There you can see why DUBROVNIK was very rich in the past. SALT !  A lot !

Use the pause to discover the charmy place. After it, we will arrive back to Orebic.
