Organized by the Ston Tourist Board, the traditional Oyster Festival takes place from March 19th to 22nd, 2026. The FestAndEvent portal brings you a complete overview of the festivities to help you plan your visit to the heart of Croatian gastronomy.
Thursday, March 19th – Opening Ceremony & Pub Quiz
15:00 – Official Opening Ceremony (Rector's Palace, Ston – by invitation only).
18:00 – DUB PUB Quiz – Test your knowledge in the authentic atmosphere of the Rector's Palace in Ston.
Friday, March 20th – Science, Boats & Fine Dining
09:00 - 17:00 – AdriaMar: 2nd Scientific-Professional Conference on Mariculture in the Adriatic (Rector's Palace – by invitation only).
11:00 & 13:00 – Boat Trip from Mali Ston to the oyster farms (Bota Šare) – experience oyster harvesting first-hand.
18:30 – Gastro Workshop: Chef Hrvoje Zirojević. A culinary spectacle with one of Croatia’s top chefs at the Rector's Palace.
Saturday, March 21st – Main Celebration & Live Concerts
11:00 – Mali Ston Festival: Big party with live music by Branko Medak & Jexi Band.
11:00 – Brijesta Festival: Musical entertainment featuring the bands Naro & Versi.
11:00 & 13:00 – Boat trips from Mali Ston to the oyster farms.
Sunday, March 22nd – Family Day & Oysters and Wine
10:00 - 12:00 – Children's workshops at Orsan (Mali Ston).
11:00 - 15:00 – Oysters & Wine: Tasting of fresh oysters and premium local wines (Mali Ston & Brijesta).
11:00 – Costumed Guided Tour of Ston in Croatian (Solana Ston).
13:00 – Costumed Guided Tour of Ston in English (Solana Ston).
To celebrate the festival, the Tourist Board has provided a special gift for visitors: Free entrance to the Walls of Stonfrom Friday, March 20th, to Sunday, March 22nd. Don't miss the chance to walk the second-longest defensive wall in the world for free!
